Remicade® Infusion

Remicade® (Inflixamab) is a biologic used to treat RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and works by blocking an activator of inflammation called TNF (Tumor Necrosis Factor). Remicade is administered intravenously in a doctor’s office, infusion center, or hospital.

These intravenous treatments are given three times in the first six weeks of therapy and then every eight weeks thereafter. Remicade may be administered by itself or in combination with methotrexate.

Careful monitoring of patients during infusion is important and the staff at AOA is trained on the proper and appropriate administration of Remicade in our infusion center. Careful monitoring by a physician is essential and the doctors at AOA have extensive experience with Remicade and other biologic therapies.
